I've walked on that trail daily from day 1. Often wanted a bench to sit and listen to the birds. Offered to pay for one twice and was ignored. I live South of Main and know several people in this neighborhood scared to hike the trail. Homeless guy lived in the old arena over a year and cops did nothing about him. I know he scarred people from using the trail as they told me that. May a cop on the trial once in a while would help. Could use a sign pointing out the wildlife. We've seen ducks, big turtles, trout in creek, also coyotes, groundhogs, deer, turkey.

I am absolutely loving these biking trails! I try to use them daily. But for sure a couple times a week. Personally I love the mixture of paved and rocks. Gives me a great reason to pull out the old mtn bike. Great addition to our beautiful town!

My wife and I had the pleasure of renting e-bikes at Trailhead Wheels in Heber Springs. We rode the new Sulphur Creek trail and it was wonderful. The trail was smooth and wide. It meandered through some of the most beautiful scenery in the area. Highly recommend.

Enjoy this scenic trail located in Heber Springs. It's well marked with several parking areas. I enjoyed starting and finishing the out and back trail from the Sugarloaf Mountain parking area. There are a few sections that share the road, yet well marked with sharrows. I recommend a gravel bike, yet all modes will work, just be mindful that most of the trail meanders through wooded areas and sticks, leaves, tree nuts, etc., may be present between maintenance. Also, be mindful for local deer, squirrels, groundhogs, wild turkeys, turtles and other critters since the trail runs through their home. Trailhead Gear is a local bike shop if you need maintenance, repairs, parts and accessories. Currently, there are no air or repair tool stations along the trail, so plan accordingly. Search YouTube for HD videos of Sulphur Creek Trail for each mile segment of the trail.

Well built, wide and well packed gravel stretches with paved stretches also! Beautiful trail and proud to see increasing usage! Excited for the trail connecting the downtown to Sugarloaf area, and also the Sandy Beach to James Place stretch! Saw an otter catch a fish near the Bittle Road section by the fairgrounds this spring!
